We
have established a premium text number to help gather donations
for Boobs and Balls.
It
works as follows:
The donor will text the word "SOLAS" to 51500, the
donor's mobile number is logged and e-mailed to a fund raiser
at the Solas Centre. She will call the mobile number and take
credit/debit card details, the fund raiser will then log onto
the MyCharity dot ie web site and submit the donated amount.
This allows us to track exactly how much money we have raised
vis text messaging.
Spread

Who
are we?
The "Boobs and Balls" organisers
are an amalgamation of likeminded individuals with a dual common
purpose. Firstly, a passion for two wheels and the camaraderie
of friends who share a love of the open road and secondly, the
impact that cancer has on us through loved ones, club members
and friends who have been affected.
The
genesis of "Boobs and Balls" was conceived at Waterford
Harley Davidson who in turn reached out to Celtic Thunder HOG, Harley
Davidson Club of Ireland (HDCI) and the Freewheelers MC, of which
a total membership count consists of nearly 200 bikers. A committee
was formed and in March 2011, the "Boobs and Balls" charity
event was born with the challenge of raising at least €25,000
for the Solas Centre and to support those afflicted by cancer: cancer
patients, their families and their carers.
